first time going out downtown, where do i even start
just turned 19 and honestly no clue how any of this works. do you buy tickets ahead or just show up, what even is a guestlist, how much cash. feel dumb asking but rather ask than stand outside looking lost. any basic tips

not dumb at all, everyone started here. quick version: pick one area (king west's the easiest first strip), get on a free list online, bring real id and a card and some cash for coat check and tips, go around 11-11:30. don't overthink it

adding coat check is like $3-5 and usually cash only so keep small bills. and keep your phone charged for the ride home

go with at least one friend who's done it before your first time. half of feeling comfortable is just not being alone at the door

eat before, pace yourself, don't take drinks from strangers. basic but it's the stuff that keeps a first night fun instead of a mess

bring less cash than you think and put your card on your phone as backup. you do not need $200 in your pocket on a first night out
