why does everything close at 2am here and where's the afters
coming from a city with 4am clubs and the 2am last call is killing me. is it just the law? and more importantly where does everyone go after 2, there's gotta be an afters scene somewhere right

2am is the provincial last call for booze so every licensed place cuts off then. it's not the clubs being lazy, their hands are tied

ah that's why it's so uniform, every single place kicks out at the same time

afters are the unlicensed warehouse/loft parties (no booze sold so no 2am rule) and house parties. word of mouth by design, that's why you can't just google them

realistic afters for most people is late night food in chinatown then a house party someone knows. the 'club til 5' thing basically doesn't exist here legally

some spots do after hours with no alcohol, just the music and the dancefloor. different vibe but worth trying once if you're a real night owl
