TJ's is downtown in the Entertainment District at 184 Pearl St (M5H 1L5), just off the King and John strip. Easy to find, easy to get to, and right in the middle of the downtown nightlife.
The room
It's a small venue with 4 bars, a main dancefloor with a narrow elevated stage area for dancing, and two elevated secondary dancefloors at the back with booths and comfy seating. Compact, so it fills fast and feels packed, which is the whole appeal here.
Who's there
Energetic youth, mostly 19 to 22, very casual and streetwear-heavy. A lot of university students out for one of their first club nights. People are friendly and social, and they're there to dance. Early in the night the ratio of women to men runs high, then it flips and gets extremely packed.
