Pour House Toronto Patio
A modern Pub and Kitchen in the Annex
Overview:
Pour House is an extremely spacious Irish pub and kitchen, with a two floor open spacious patio, it’s a perfect choice for Patio night out around the Annex. Located at Dupont St, and St George St, this is a modern and surprisingly spacious spot in the Annex. Serving some of your standard pub dishes, Pourhouse also has some modern pop dishes like their take on Fish Tacos. A great spot for food and drinks, as per the name Pourhouse has many drink deals each night of the week, and specializes not only in beer but also has great cocktails choices. The decor is modern and upscale spin on an Irish Pub and Kitchen.
Our Review:
Pour House is more than your standard Irish Pub, this modern take on a Pub and Kitchen is cool and relaxed vibe that anyone could appreciate. Modern, hip, open, airy and spacious, the venue itself is quite large and has a good amount of seating options both inside and outside the venue. We really liked the upper deck patio, which brought a rooftop patio vibe, but also enjoyed the main floor patio, which served the more usual patio dining experience. We would opt for the top floor, but either one is a good option. The patio offers both high top and low top seating, with large tables for groups and single tables for more intimate groups. Having been recently renovated, the venue is clean, comfortable, warm and inviting.
Pour House offers standard pub options but also popular options like calamari, tacos, burgers, nachos, and a hearty brunch menu. Some standout dishes include the Zen Bowl, a fried rice dish served with a sunny side up egg, the Elk Burger which is hearty, healthy and not too gamey, the fish tacos are well seasoned and sauced up.
Drinks wise, Pour House has you covered with many great beers on tap. Additionally, their cocktail menu is wide, and some of our favourites were the Aperol Spritz which was sweet, sour and refreshing, and the Jalapeno Margarita which is for spice lovers – fiery, salty, spicy but also refreshing. The Pour House has you covered on drinks for the summer to say the least.

Our In-Depth Review:
We started off by sampling the diverse cocktail menu at Pour House. The Aperol Spritz which was sweet, sour and refreshing.
Next we tried the Jalapeno Margarita which is for spice lovers – fiery, salty, spicy but also refreshing.
We also sampled their beers on Tap, trying a lager as well as an IPA. You ca’t go wrong with a beer in the summer, and the Pour House lives up to its name serving up the perfect pour.
For food, we started off with the Nachos. The classic pub style nachos, these were loaded and cheesy, definitely hits the spot with a good beer. Next we the fish tacos are well seasoned and sauced up.
For mains we tried the Zen Bowl, a fried rice dish served with a sunny side up egg, fresh and healthy.
The Elk Burger was hearty, healthy and not too gamey tasting. A great choice of a burger for something lean but also healthy and hearty.
For dessert we tried their chocolate cake, which was moist and delicious. A perfect way to end a meal.
