Brassaii is King West's supperclub that flips into a full club after 11: hip-hop, trap and urban Top 40, a mature upscale crowd, and a clean, sophisticated room. It runs Wednesday to Saturday and its summer Wednesdays are a King West staple. Here's the honest rundown, plus the free guestlist so you pay less and walk in clean.
The honest reviewBrassaii is on King West at 461 King St W (M5V 1K4), in Wellington Place, right in the King West strip. Easy to find, easy to get to, surrounded by the rest of the night.
Two rooms. The main one is a square dance floor surrounded by booths with a bar at the back. The second is a longer rectangular room with a bar on the left, booths on the right, and a narrow dance floor between them. It's a smaller venue overall, so when only the main room is open the crowd reads smaller too.
An upscale, mature crowd, average mix of 23 to 35. Most come dressed semi formal. Expect a real spread in ages on any given night. It's the room people pick when they want to keep it classy and still party.
Fridays and Saturdays run hip-hop, trap and urban Top 40. It's a crowd-pleasing weekend sound built for a mature room that still wants to move, not an underground or one-genre night.
Dress code is generally collared shirts, with smart casual permitted. The play is semi formal. Come looking put-together and you sail through. Show up too casual and you risk being turned away at the door.
Strict 19+. Ontario drinking age, no exceptions, so bring real ID.
