THE THOMPSON HOTEL LOBBY BAR OVERVIEW
The Thompson Hotel Lobby Bar is a medium sized lounge located within the lobby of the Thompson Hotel located on Wellington Street just south of King Street West near the Bathurst and Wellington intersection. This lobby area becomes a dedicated bar and lounge around 10:00PM. The Thompson Hotel Lobby Bar features a large bar at the back, and several booths located around the main dance floor area. This venue is located directly to the right of Wildflower and also shares it’s main enterence with the Thompson Hotel Rooftop Lounge which is usually open during the warmer seasons.
THE THOMPSON HOTEL LOBBY BAR CLUB REVIEW
As soon as you walk into Thompson Hotel, the lounge and bar is located directly to the right. Unlike most venues in this area this is much more of a chill lounge and not a super noisy club. In fact, you’ll notice the majority of the crowd is just chilling and socializing near the bar and a handful of people either turning up and dancing at their booth with bottles, or in the centre which is technically a dance floor. This venue is moreso targeted toward professionals and has a bit of a mature vibe, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t also a mix of young professionals here too. This venue rarely hits capacity and doesn’t usually have a line that is all that bad. It’s also very rare that the lounge gets shoulder to shoulder packed, but it does tend to get busy around 12:00-1:00AM, which is also it’s peak time. The Thompson Hotel Lobby Bar tends to play a nice mix of Chill Lounge House, UK Garage, and the occasional Hip-Hop track. Again, this crowd is very chill and friendly so this is a good spot to go if you’re not looking for a super demanding night out. Overally we appreciate this venue for what it offers and think it’s a great place visit to get drinks with a group of friends and talk.

THE THOMPSON HOTEL LOBBY BAR GENERAL INFORMATION
The capacity of the Thompson Hotel Lobby Bar in Toronto is roughly 350-400 people since it’s a medium-sized venue, but with that said, we’ve never seen it hit capacity and had the door staff deny entry because it’s too busy. The main area contains a large dance floor surrounded by booths and one large bar at the back. The Thompson Hotel Lobby Bar does not require guestlist to get in but sometimes there can be a line if you arrive too late in the night. The price of drinks ranges from $10+ for mixed drinks, $10+ for beer, and $7-10+ for shots.

Located in Toronto’s Fashion District in the Downtown core of Toronto, The Thompson Hotel Lobby Bar is located in the lobby of the prestigious Thompson Hotel on Wellington Street which is on Eastern side of Bathurst Street. This venue isn’t hard to find but if you’ve never been there it can be a bit hard to spot for the first time. The entrance to the Thompson Hotel Lobby is on the right and the entrance to Wildflower which is another club located in the basement of the Thompson Hotel is on the left (2 separate lines).
THE THOMPSON HOTEL LOBBY BAR AGE LIMIT
You must be 19+ to enter the Thompson Hotel Lobby Bar on a normal club night, no exceptions are made. With that said you’ll usually find people ages 21-35+ at this venue.
THE THOMPSON HOTEL LOBBY BAR DRESS CODE
The dress code classy, fashion-forward / streetwear. Men usually have to wear either a button-up and dress shoes, and no print, but this venue is a little less strict compared to other clubs on King. Women are allowed to bring in bags, but side bags for men are typically not allowed.
THE MUSIC AT THOMPSON HOTEL LOBBY BAR
The Thompson Hotel Lobby Bar typically plays a nice mix of UK Garage, Lounge House, and Hip-Hop, so if that’s your style this is the perfect venue for you. Also, as mentioned before this venue doesn’t blast the music super loud so it’s much easier to have conversations with people.
