Our Review:

The dishes at e11even were interesting takes on classic North American dishes. Acting as a classic but sophisticated North American cuisine restaurant, the menu is very warm and welcoming. Expect a crowd dressed in a mix of casual and business casual, this is exactly what you would expect for a venue located next to the Scotia Bank Arena. There is a mix of demographics and age groups, you can expect younger business professionals around the fire pit patios, which is the perfect social patio area.

One of the most impressive features of e11even is its cocktail menu. The cocktail menu is themed after destinations, allowing you to get a glimpse or nostalgic feelings of being back on vacation with each sip you take. We sampled a variety of cocktails ranging from the ‘Kauai’, which was sweet and minty, with coconut hints, a perfect cocktail for those looking for something sweet. One of our favourite drinks was ‘The English Garden’, this purplish concoction was perfectly balanced between sour, sweet, and tangy, definitely brought a refined feeling of sipping on a cocktail in London. Lastly, we sampled ‘The Outlaw’ which was a perfect drink for bourbon lovers, this American Mexican drink is served with hickory smoke to infuse the hickory flavour into the drink.

The food at e11even is versatile and appetizing takes on American classics but with an upscale spin, expect unique flavours brought to your favourite dishes. Some of the standout items include the Crab Cake served with a mustard remoulade, which is everything you would expect from a good crab cake. Additionally, the Fried Chicken Bao a new item on their menu, that is fresh and bright with Asian flavours. For entrees expect classics, including their spin on Fish and Chips, with a Beer Battered Halibut Fish served with homestyle crispy potatoes. Our favourite entree at e11even was the Maple Burger, which uses freshly ground beef, that is lightly handled, so it maintains its juiciness, served with Guinness cheddar and double-cut bacon.

Our In-Depth Review:

We tried multiple cocktails at e11even, as the cocktail menu is themed after vacation destinations, it allowed us to get a glimpse into being back on vacation with each sip. Starting with the ‘Kauai’, which was sweet and minty, with coconut hints, a perfect cocktail for those looking for something sweet.

One of our favourite drinks was ‘The English Garden’, this purplish concoction was perfectly balanced between sour, sweet and tangy, bringing the refined feeling of sipping on a cocktail in London.

We sampled Dre’s Margarita, which is served with jalapenos and Thai basil. This Casamigos Blanco and Grand Marnier based drink was spicy but refreshing. Perfect for those that want something with more flare.

Lastly, we sampled ‘The Outlaw’ which is a perfect drink for bourbon lovers, this American Mexican drink is served with hickory smoke to infuse the hickory flavour into the drink.

For food we started with the Crab Cake served with a mustard remoulade, which is everything you would expect from a good crab cake. Crispy, tasty and delicious, it paired perfectly with the remoulade – it makes sense why this is their best selling appetizer.

Sampling the Fried Chicken Bao, a new item on their menu, this dish was fresh and bright with Asian flavours. The Baos are hand made and the chicken was perfectly crispy and tasty, served with Asian inspired sauces this hits the mark for Korean themed Bao.

For entrees, we sampled e11even’s spin on Fish and Chips, with a Beer Battered Halibut Fish served with homestyle crispy potatoes. This dish is a homey take on Fish and chips,  which is hearty, flavourful and filling.

Our favourite entree at e11even is the Maple Burger, which is used freshly ground beef that is lightly handled, so it maintains its juiciness, served with Guinness cheddar and double-cut bacon.

Overall, e11even is a great venue to visit when you’re in Maple Leaf Square, we especially recommend a firepit patio and handcrafted cocktails. This most definitely should be the spot you can come to hang out for some unique drinks, but also offers some unique takes on classic dishes, making it a posh but relaxing patio experience.
