VELD Music Festival

History

In 2012, the inaugural VELD Music Festival took place at Downsview Park in Toronto, organized by INK Entertainment, led by Charles Khabouth. The lineup boasted renowned EDM artists including deadmau5, Avicii, Bassnectar, Steve Aoki, Steve Angello, Knife Party, and Nicky Romero, with the festival drawing its name from deadmau5’s track “The Veldt”.

The following year, in 2013, deadmau5 returned as the headline act, joined by familiar names like Steve Aoki and Steve Angello, as well as Dada Life, Kaskade, Above & Beyond, and Madeon.

From 2014 to 2019, the festival expanded, showcasing a mix of EDM and hip-hop talents, solidifying its status as Canada’s premier electronic dance music event.

Amid the global COVID-19 pandemic, the festival faced cancellations in both 2020 and 2021 to ensure public safety.

In 2022 and 2023, the festival made a triumphant comeback, marking its milestone 10th anniversary with a diverse lineup spanning three stages.

Overview

The VELD Music Festival will take place at Downsview Park in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, from August 2 to 4, 2024. Festival doors will be open each day from 2 PM to 11 PM. Attendance is limited to individuals aged 19 and above, with a maximum capacity of 42,000 attendees. Festival Guide

At VELD 2024, over 60 artists will take the stage across three distinct areas, promising a dynamic musical experience. To ensure you stay comfortable, check the weather forecast and dress appropriately for any conditions. Protect yourself from the heat by using sunscreen, wearing a hat and sunglasses, drinking plenty of water, and taking breaks in shaded areas. On-site festival staff and health and safety teams will be available to assist if needed.

For convenience, lockers are available for rent on both single-day and weekend bases. The festival operates on a cashless payment system, accepting only credit and debit cards. While pre-paid Visas can be bought with cash, it is recommended to purchase them in advance. Wristbands must be registered for entry and cannot be linked to credit cards for purchases. Additionally, VELD has partnered with Crewfare to offer customized travel packages with exclusive hotel rates near the event, allowing attendees to focus on enjoying the festival rather than searching for accommodations.

Booth & Bottle Service

Bottle service packages are available, and reservations can be made on their website. Please note that booths are subject to a 15-person capacity. Additionally, all patrons must have a VIP wristband to access the VELD bottle service area.
