DPRTMNT Toronto is the city’s newest edition to the club scene located within Toronto’s bustling Fashion District on King St. West at 473 Adelaide St W, Toronto, ON M5V 1T1, and accessible via the alley just across the street from Vela on Portland St. Formerly Toybox Toronto, this INK Entertainment venue has undergone a huge renovation.
DPRTMNT Toronto differs from Toybox however, because it’s now a full-fledged performance and event venue that hosts big-name house DJs and artists. If you’re looking for a big EDM club on King West, this is the club for it.

Address and Location
DPRTMNT Toronto is located off of King West at 473 Adelaide St W, Toronto, but again to access the venue you’ll need to go through the alleyway that connects to Portland St. to get to the front door. The location of this venue is central to the King West clubbing district as it’s surrounded by many popular bars and clubs that the area is so well known for.
Club Size and Ambiance
DPRTMNT Toronto is a massive EDM venue that can easily handle upwards of 800-1000 people. The atmosphere is nothing short of captivating with it’s state-of-the-art lighting and sound system that was specifically designed for House and Electronic DJ performances in mind.
The crowd typically will congregate toward the front stage, the main dancefloor area in the center, and at their booths if they booked bottle service. This club is considered high energy because of the type of music and the crowd that it tends to draw every weekend, so if that’s what you’re looking for in a club, this would be a good choice.
Music and Entertainment
DPRTMNT Toronto’s music is known for hosting several big-name house DJs and artists. Since their grand opening they’ve hosted artists including KREAM, Nicky Romero, TWINSICK, Alex Wann, Wakyin, and Tita Lau. DPRTMNT Toronto is considered a full fledged EDM/Rave venue as opposed to just a typical club that plays top 40 or hip hop, and caters to a specific demographic that really enjoys this type of music and vibe.

DPRTMNT Toronto is a pretty large venue, and thus attracts a pretty substantial number of people on the nights that it’s open, making it a great environment for raving and dancing to your favourite DJs. Since this is a premium venue you can expect to pay anywhere from $14-$18 for a standard mixed drink, and $12-$15 for a beer. Coat check is $5. The layout of the club is optimized for raving as the main dancefloor area is large, located in front of the main stage, and is surrounded by several large bottle service booths.

DPRTMNT is located at 473 Adelaide St W, Toronto, just north of the King Street West and Portland St. intersection. The entrance to DPRTMNT is located on the east side of the street, just across the street from Vela Toronto. Another easy way to spot the alleyway that leads to the main entrance is to look for Gusto 101, and the alley is just to the right of it.

DPRTMNT Toronto Dress Code
The dress code at DPRTMNT is casual to semi-formal. Guests are encouraged to dress well; so sportswear, sneakers (non-designer), baggy clothes, boots, and hats are not allowed. Women may bring purses, but large bags and men’s side bags are typically not permitted. Entry into the venue is always going to be at the discretion of the door staff, so we suggest putting on your best fit to avoid being denied entry, especially if you’re going to a ticketed event.

The cover charge at DPRTMNT is $20, with women enjoying free entry before 11:30 PM. This of course doesn’t apply to special nights or themed events where entry is ticketed for special events or artists performing.
