Regulars Bar is King West's club-bar move: a resto-bar and patio by day, a packed room by night, all big windows and curb appeal. Urban Top 40, hip-hop and R&B, a dressed-to-impress 19+ crowd, and a floor that peaks past midnight. Here's the honest rundown.
The honest reviewRegulars sits in the downtown core at 668 King St W (M5V 1M7), around Bathurst and King in the heart of the club district. You'll know it by the neon signs, the elevated stairway in, and the line and smoking groups out front.
Capacity runs about 200-300, one elevated floor with a main bar near the front entrance and booth areas to the left and right for bigger groups. It's a small-to-medium room, so it feels full and lively without being a stadium, but it can get tight to navigate once it's packed.
Mature young pros, roughly 22 to 30, dressed to impress. Regulars built a novel King West room that pulls clubbers who want somewhere classy to party, and the crowd stays consistent every weekend.
At Regulars you get a really good mix of current Top 40, hip-hop and R&B. The DJ reads the room and spins music that matches the vibe, urban and current, with a really good feel to it all night.
The dress code is casual with no major restrictions, you can wear pretty much anything, including streetwear. But people here dress to impress, so come sharp. You get the feel of an upscale club even though the door is relaxed.
You must be 19+ to enter on a normal club night. On some nights the door runs it tighter, closer to 25+, so bring real ID and check ahead if you're on the younger side.
