You're looking for Barber & Co, a barbershop that looks closed at night, with a green light glowing out front. Walk in anyway, head to the back through the narrow doorway, and the bar opens up behind it. Half the fun is watching people outside walk past it.
Tiny and deliberate. One small dim room with paint-scarred walls left over from its artist-studio days, a short bar, intimate seating, and shelves of collectibles that double as decor and inventory (an Akira comic set and Back to the Future figures have carried price tags). Sound stays at conversation level. The action is the bar itself; if you're not watching your drink get built, you're missing the point.
Date nights, cocktail obsessives, industry folks on their night off, and Ossington wanderers who heard the rumour. Skews late 20s through 40s, dressed nice-casual, nobody loud. With a capacity this small, the crowd on any night is basically ten well-behaved people at a time.
