TOYBOX OVERVIEW
Toybox is one of Toronto’s larger venues, with several large dancefloors, multiple bars, booths, and a large DJ booth. In addition, the building has 2 floors, the top floor being the main dance area, and the bottom floor which is where the large bathrooms are located, a small bar with dance area and a lounge with comfortable seating.
TOYBOX CLUB REVIEW
Toybox is well known among Toronto youth for being one of the top venues on King Street. With it’s massive and rugged designed interior this club can hold a lot of people, and is one of our best picks for a large and energetic club venue. Expect the DJs to spin top 40 music, and hip-hop and rap music. It’s busy pretty early on in the night to the late hours, so be sure to come early if you want entry into the venue. Toybox attracts a diverse crowd looking to party to their favourite pop rap anthems, and take pictures with their famous bear mascot. It may be a good place to party if you’re 19-28 since the crowd usually is a diverse age, if that’s what you are looking for.

TOYBOX GENERAL INFORMATION
The capacity of the Toybox is approximately 500-600 people, since it’s quite a big venue. There is usually a line early in the night that can take forever if you don’t have a booth. Coat check is available at this club for $3-4. Drink prices start around $9+ for mixed drinks, $8+ for beer and somewhere between $8-12 for shots. The club has two floors, the main floor, which has a large and open dance floor, and the second floor which has its own small bar, lounge, and the club’s bathrooms.
TOYBOX LOCATION
Toybox is located on Portland Street in between Adelaide Street West and King Street West, and is easily recognized by the large neon pink sign that says Toybox on it. This venue is relatively easy to spot since there is always a crowd outside trying to get in, though it is hidden in an alleyway, so just look out for the bright neon sign.n.
TOYBOX AGE LIMIT
You must be 19+ to enter Toybox on a normal club night, no exceptions are made.
TOYBOX DRESS CODE
The dress code is semi-formal and fashion-forward, and as long as you are dressed classy, and guys are wearing dressy shoes, there shouldn’t be any problems getting in. Although women are allowed to bring in purses, side bags for men are not allowed, nor is sports wear, or boots.
THE MUSIC AT TOYBOX
At TOYBOX, you can expect the music to be mainly a mix of Top-40, EDM / House, and the occasional Hip-Hop or Rap banger. This club has your typical mix that caters to a broad range of people with different tastes in music.
TOYBOX COVER CHARGE
Cover charge for TOYBOX is typically $20, while ladies can get free entry to the club before 11:30PM, and reduced cover for guys at $15 as long as you’re on guestlist. On Fridays, everyone is free before 11:30PM. If you want to save on cover it’s important to show up early to club.
TOYBOX GUESTLIST GUIDE
We suggest you sign up for guestlist ahead of time to ensure you’re able to get into the club. Since cover charge still applies regardless of guestlist past 11:30PM, so we suggest you to aim to arrive for 11:10PM at the absolute latest, since a line will usually start to form at 11:00PM. Once you arrive at the club simply tell the door person what guestlist you’re under, check-in, get stamped, and then head in to start your night.
TOYBOX BOOTH AND BOTTLE SERVICE
Bottle prices typically range from $215 – $550 on average for mid-range liquor bottles, higher-end bottles are available which will cost upwards of $1000+ a bottle. Note that booth prices typically start at a $650 minimum for a small booth on a Friday, and $650 minimum for a small booth on a Saturday. Booth and bottle packages range from the mid $600s all the way up to $2000+.
