Address & location

Juliet's in the Fashion District at 510 King St W (M5V 1K4), near the centre of King West's clubbing strip, north side of the street, just east of Brant. The sign isn't obvious, so look for the brick archway connecting the two buildings above the flight of stairs. The club's down in the basement, entrance between the two buildings.

The room

Holds about 350-420, so it rarely slams to capacity, but weekends still fill. The layout's a sunken dancefloor in the middle, two large bars, and booths ringing the floor plus more along the walls. Coat check and the cashier sit to your left as you come down the stairs; washrooms are at the back-left.

Who's there

Mostly a young urban crowd, roughly 19 to 25, dressed in streetwear. This is a hip-hop room and the people in it are here for that scene. Want real energy, current rap and trap, and a floor that's actually moving? Weekends here deliver.

What's great

• Unique interior lighting. The pink and blue neon gives the room a real look, the kind people clock the second they walk in.
• Built for a turn-up. Sunken dancefloor, big bars, booths all around. The room's made to go off.
• Great music and vibe. DJs run hip-hop, trap, rap and afrobeats with R&B in the mix, and the whole room rides with it.

What to know going in

• It can get hectic. Some nights the room runs hot, great for energy, less so if you want space.
• No re-entry. Once you're stamped in, leaving means you're out for the night, so plan your smoke breaks.

• Beat the line. Arrive by 10:30, right after doors, especially on a busy night, so you walk straight in.
• Want a guaranteed spot and your own service? Book a booth ahead instead of fighting for floor space.

Juliet is a hip-hop room first. Expect mostly hip-hop, trap, rap and afrobeats with some R&B and dancehall mixed in. It's a real turn-up soundtrack, so if that's the music you vibe to, this is your room. Every weekend rides a little different, but the constant is the same: loud, vocal, everybody rapping along.

What to wear

Dress code is casual and fashion-forward, and streetwear works here. As long as you're dressed well you shouldn't have trouble at the door. Guys, skip the sportswear, and note that side-bags for men are typically not allowed. Women can bring bags in no problem.

Age limit

Strict 19+. Ontario drinking age, no exceptions on a normal club night, so bring real ID. Keeps the room on the same page.
