Lobby is West Queen West's plant-draped lounge: tapas and cocktails early, then house and funk-electronic till 2am once the floor fills. A relaxed, dressed-clean 19+ crowd and a room that looks like nowhere else. Here's the honest rundown, plus the free guest list so you skip the line.
The sceneThe first thing you notice at Lobby is the green. Plants hang from the ceiling over arch-shaped mirrors, rustic pastel walls and modern furniture. The whole room takes its cue from Tulum, the jungle-shrouded beach town on Mexico's Mayan Riviera, so it feels lush and romantic, a little different from every other spot on the strip. It comes from the team behind Lavelle and Goldie, with Juno-winning DJ Nick Fiorucci among the owners spinning weekends. Early in the night it's a supper club: tapas, cocktails, low lights, a soundtrack you can talk over. Around 11 it switches. The music gets louder and funkier, the tables turn into a dance floor, and the room finds its second gear.
This is the move when you want a real night out without the hip-hop-club crush. Think Kaytranada more than Top 40, chill energy more than mosh-pit. If you want to actually hear your people, drink something good, and dance when you feel like it, Lobby delivers.
Quick factsTwo nights, same plant-draped room, both turning lounge late. Here's what each weekend looks like.

Lobby sits on the eclectic West Queen West strip at 1034 Queen St W (M6J 1H7), on the corner of Queen West and Brookfield, a block west of Ossington and just north of King West Village. It's a small corner building. Look for the door staff and the little sign right on the corner.
Capacity is about 250, but it's a lounge, so it never gets rowdy or crammed like a straight club. One large bar runs along the left wall, the dance floor sits in front of it, and an elevated booth and bottle area with a DJ booth sits at the back. Plants overhead, mirrors on the walls, a patio out front in summer.
Upscale young professionals, roughly 24 to 30, dressed casual but put together. Mature without being stiff. This is a crowd that came to socialize and drink well, not to mosh.
Lobby leans house: minimalist tech-house, lounge-house, and that bouncy funk-electronic sound everyone loves, with hip-hop worked in. Early on it sits at a level you can talk over. Later it gets louder and funkier, the perfect soundtrack for a night of dancing and socializing. If your thing is Kaytranada more than a hip-hop club, this is your room.
The dress code is relaxed. Business casual, fashion-forward, streetwear, or dressed up all work. As long as you look put together you'll be fine. No major restrictions here, just don't roll in looking like you came straight from the gym.
Most nights are free. Special events run about $10 to $20. The guest list is your move for a clean entry: send your name ahead, get there before it fills, check in under your name and you're in. Easy.
Strict 19+ on club nights. Ontario drinking age, no exceptions, so bring real ID.
Want to do it right? Grab a booth in the elevated area at the back. Guaranteed seat, your own service, no fighting for space. Bottle service runs $220 to $450 for mid-range bottles, with top-shelf options upwards of $600. Drinks at the bar: beer from $8, cocktails $12 to $18, shots $8 to $10. Drop your date and headcount in the form and we'll line up the right table for the night.
