One scannable table of what every major Toronto nightclub actually charges at the door, what to wear, the age limit, and where bottle service starts. No ranking, just the numbers you need before you pick a door.
This is the reference page we wish existed before every night out. Toronto cover charges, dress codes and bottle minimums change room to room and block to block, and getting it wrong means a $40 surprise at the door or a turn-away over your sneakers. So we pulled the real numbers from the clubs we cover, on the nights people actually go: a typical Friday or Saturday. The table below lists cover, a short read on the dress code, the age limit and where bottle service starts for each room, grouped by neighbourhood so you can compare the strip you are headed to. Almost every club here also runs a free guest list that lowers or waives the cover, and we explain how that works underneath. Figures are typical and move with the night and the event, so treat them as a guide, not a guarantee.

Cover in Toronto is mostly a King West and Entertainment District thing, and it scales with the room. Premium King West clubs sit at the top, with 44 Toronto running $40, while most rooms land around $10 to $20 on a Friday or Saturday. A lot of bars and patios charge nothing at all until a DJ starts, and a handful of clubs, like Mickey Limbo's and SPIN, never charge cover.
Two things move the number every weekend. First, the night: Saturdays, long weekends and big-name DJ events run higher than a normal Friday. Second, your timing and gender: many rooms let ladies in free before 11 or 11:30pm, and almost every club drops the cover if you are on the guest list and arrive before it closes. If you walk up cold at midnight on a Saturday, you pay the full rate and stand in the longest line.
The free guest list is the single biggest money-saver in Toronto nightlife, and almost every room on this page runs one. You sign up under your name and headcount before you leave the house, then check in at the door instead of paying full cover and waiting in the cold. It is genuinely free, the venue just wants to know you are coming and roughly how many.
Two rules make it actually work. Arrive before the cutoff, because guest lists usually close somewhere between 10 and 11pm and do not guarantee entry once the room is full. And if you are rolling deep or want a guaranteed spot on a busy night, book a booth with bottle service ahead of time, since tables are always let in ahead of the list. Get both right and you walk past the line for free.
Dress code in Toronto is really a map of the city. King West and the premium Entertainment District rooms, like 44, Lavelle, Isabelle's and Fiction, want clean and sharp: collared or dress shirts, dressy shoes, and no sportswear, hats, boots or beat-up sneakers. A few, like Paris Texas, lean fully collared and dressy. Get turned away here and it is almost always the shoes or a graphic tee.
Move west to Queen West, Ossington and Parkdale and it loosens fast. Rooms like Apt 200, AMPM and Baro are streetwear friendly, clean sneakers are fine, and a couple are genuinely come-as-you-are. The safe rule everywhere: dress one notch up from what you think the room needs. Doors reward people who look like they made an effort, and it costs you nothing to look sharp.
